Glenfiddich Experiments With Tea To Create 4 New Cocktails

Indians love tea and there's no denying to it. In fact, India - the second largest producer of tea - is considered a tea-drinking nation. Taking our love for tea a notch higher, Glenfiddich single malt whisky has experimented with tea to curate unique sensorial serves for whisky enthusiasts and novices to cherish. This new initiative was launched at JW Mariott, Aerocity, Delhi on May 27, 2022. It is inspired by the Japanese tradition of mixing tea and whiskey and is considered an experience outside of mainstream mixology.

Glenfiddich created four single malt serves - Dufftown Mist, Smoky Tryst, Paradisiacal Highball, Threefold Fashioned - using fruit-forward notes of the Glenfiddich 'Our Original Twelve' with its tangerine sweetness and intense aromas. These exquisite serves have been curated by Glenfiddich India Brand Ambassador Angad Singh Gandhi using Anandini Himalaya Tea specially created by India's leading Tea Sommelier, Anamika Singh who has been working in the Tea Industry for close to 30 years.

Speaking about the initiative, Angad Singh Gandhi said, "Our experiments with tea reflect Glenfiddich's long illustrious history of innovation and desire to push boundaries of convention. It has been a journey full of passion, carefully creating serves using the tea and Glenfiddich single malt. The hand plucked, roasted green Tea from Manjhee Valley Tea Estate, is specially manufactured in the month of September. It has hints of saffron with splashes of cockscomb flower that pairs well with smooth and mellow Glenfiddich 'Our Original Twelve; to deliver an experience like never before."

These first-of-its-kind serves will be available across premium bars, restaurants and top 100 outlets in Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Mumbai, Karnataka, Hyderabad, and Goa. A specially curated toolkit with a smoke gun, decanter, tray, and ramequin will also be showcased for an exclusive experience.
