Here Are 5 Foods You Must Eat During Shravan:

1. Sabudana

Sabudana is undoubtedly the most popular food consumed during fasting days. Also known as tapioca pearls, they are rich in fibre and essential nutrients, making them a healthy addition to your diet. Make a delicious khichdi or prepare sabudana tikki to enjoy as an evening snack.

2. Fruits

You can also relish a bowl of fruits during Shravan. Not only are they super refreshing, but they will also keep you full for a longer period. It's best to enjoy them raw instead of juicing them to reap their benefits. Choose from fruits such as bananas, apples, grapes, papaya, etc.

3. Nuts

We are often advised to eat a handful of nuts every day. Don't stop yourself from doing so during this holy month as well. Packed with vitamins and nutrients, they make for an excellent snack to enjoy any time of the day. You can mix together almonds, cashew nuts, and walnuts.

2. Onion/Garlic

Onion and garlic surely add flavour to dishes, but they are prohibited from your diet during Shravan. This is because they are said to produce heat in the body. It is advised to eat only sattvic food without these ingredients.

3. Fried Foods

Anything that is fried is generally unhealthy for us. While fasting, our aim should be to eat healthier foods to stay fit and healthy. Consuming foods high in oil, such as pakodas and French fries, can lead to stomach problems such as bloating and gas, causing discomfort.
