You've seen many cake videos off the internet, but this is something different. Inspired by the TV show, The Great British Bake Off, Abbie Small, a new mum is making some deceptively real looking cakes that is all the rage on the internet right now. From a cheese platter, burger and fries to sausages, she has replicated them all, and the uncanny resemblance has set internet abuzz. Abbie, 33, got so inspired by an episode of the TV programme, that she too decided to try her hands at baking. She took up baking about three years ago. She started enjoying it so much that she soon surpassed the stage of making cupcakes and muffins and became an internet sensation for her realistic looking cakes.
Another popular food reality show - Extreme Cake Makers also inspired Abbie to push the envelope and try something new. She creates the lifelike effects using sponge cakes, icing, spray-gun and food colouring. She spends up to a day and a half on each of her baked creations to give them a perfect finish.
