In a recent video uploaded by Instagram user @oye.foodieee, we see a shop selling 'gold mithai.' The video begins with the shopkeeper showing us a delectable tray of mithai. Then the shopkeeper takes out two gold leaves and adds them on top of it. He then cuts the 'gold mithai' in small pieces and serves them individually! According to @oye.foodieee, this mithai costs INR 16,000 per kg. This mithai is being sold at Shagun Sweets, Maujpur, Delhi. Take a look at the video here.

Ever since the video was uploaded, it has been viewed 10.9 million times, has 577 k likes and thousands of comments. Many people have said that the gold mithai looks "delicious." A person said, "This looks so tempting. I want to try it!"

In contrast, many others were quick to react to how this mithai is unaffordable. Once user said, "Instead of buying this mithai, I can purchase a new phone." Another user commented, "I can make better use of this money and feed the underprivileged."
