Ingredients of Leftover Moong Dal Pakora

  • 1 Cup leftover yellow moong dal
  • 1/2 Cup soaked and drained poha
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1-inch ginger, finely chopped
  • 1/2 Cup coriander leaves, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 2 Cups besan
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Leftover Moong Dal Pakora

In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients to make a soft dough. If necessary, sprinkle little water. But remember the dal and poha will already contain a bit of water.

Heat oil for deep-frying in a kadhai. Use your fingers to break off small pieces of the dal dough and fry them until golden brown. Serve the pakoras hot with green chutney, tamarind chutney or ketchup.
