Marinated pieces of lamb shallow fried and served with a pungent mustard sauce with bacon, whiskey and cream.

Ingredients of Mustard Lamb
- 1/2 kg sliced lamb
- 1 inch chunk of raw papaya
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- Juice of 1 lemon
- flour for coating
- Oil for frying
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For the sauce:
- 100 gm diced bacon
- 1 Tbsp cooked sweet corn
- 200 ml mutton stock
- 2 tsp strong mustard
- Pinch chilli powder
- 2 tsp whisky (optional)
- 2-3 Tbsp cream
- 1 Tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper, to taste
How to Make Mustard Lamb
1.
Marinate lamb slices in a mixture of papaya, garlic, lemon and pepper for 30 minutes.

Coat the lamb in flour and shallow fry until brown and tender.

Remove from the pan and drain.

Saute bacon followed by onion, capsicum and corn.
5.
After 2 minutes add stock, mustard and chilli powder. Simmer for 10 minutes.
6.
Finally add whiskey, butter and cream to the sauce.
7.
Pour the sauce on top of the lamb.

Garnish with onion rings and serve hot.
