Ingredients of South Indian-Style Cucumber Chutney
- 1 Cucumber
- 2 Green chillies
- 1/2 tsp Cumin
- 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- A pinch of Hing
- 2 Garlic cloves
- 1/2 tsp Urad dal
- 1/2 tsp Chana dal
- to taste Tamarind pulp
- to taste Salt
- for garnishing Coriander leaves
- 1 tsp Curry leaves
- 1 Whole red chilli
- 2 tsp Oil
How to Make South Indian-Style Cucumber Chutney

Clean and grate cucumber. Keep aside. Heat oil and fry green chilli, urad dal, chana dal. Cool down completely.

Transfer the ingredients in a mixer grinder and add cumin, salt, garlic. Grind into fine paste.

Add a portion of grated cucumber to it and mix. Add some tamarind pulp and grind.

Transfer the mix in a bowl and add grated cucumber to it and mix. Add some salt and chopped coriander leaves to it.
5.
Temper mustard seeds and cumin seeds with whole red chilli, curry leaves and hing. Pour on the chutney and serve.
