Ingredients of Soya Khichdi

  • 1 cup Soya bean, soaked
  • 1 1/2 cup Rice, soaked
  • 2 Green chillies
  • 2 Tomato, chopped
  • 1 Large onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Haldi
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tsp Jeera
  • 2-3 tsp Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • 1/4 cup Green peas

How to Make Soya Khichdi

To begin with, boil water in a large bottomed pan, add soya beans, rice along with tomatoes and green chillies. Cook until the rice and beans are soft and mushy.

Heat oil/ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter. After it, add chopped onion and ginger-garlic paste, and sauté for a minute or two

Add turmeric, yogurt, salt to taste, peas followed by cooked rice and beans. Stirring constantly for at least 10 minutes, add water as per the requirement and then add chopped coriander leaves.

Soya khichdi is ready!
