Method:

Step 1: Soak urad daal for 3-4 hours. Now, grind it and prepare a fine paste of the same. Whisk well so that the batter becomes light.

P.S: Test the consistency of your batter by dropping a drop of it in the water. If the daal batter is pitch-perfect, it will float on the water.

Step 2: Add one pinch of orange food colour to the batter.

Step 3: Fill the batter in the piping bag

Step 4: Place a flat pan on the stove, and add 2 cups of ghee.

Step 5: When the ghee becomes medium hot, pipe out the imartis in it. Make sure you cook it well on both sides.

Step 6: The next step is to prepare chashni or sugar syrup. Add water and sugar, in a pan and boil it for 6-7 minutes.

Step 7: When you have syrup of 1 string consistency, add a pinch of orange food colour.

Step 8: Submerge imartis into medium hot sugar syrup for 3-4 mins. Voila! It's ready.

Step 9: Serve it hot!
