It needs to be understood that most of the carbs found in sweet corns are of the 'good' kind. They do not metabolise so soon and leave you hungry again. Sweet corns make for a decent source fibre and protein. Both fibre and protein takes a while to digest. Due to which you feel full and stay away from bingeing. If you eat in moderate quantities, you are much likely to lose weight faster.
