Oscars Nominees Luncheon 2015: What the Celebrities Ate

As the brand new year ticks its way to become a month old, February gets all the movie buffs excited for one of the most anticipated, mega awards ceremony of the year - The Oscars. Just to brush up your cinematic history a little, The Oscars - also known as the Academy awards - were first organized in the year 1929 and are overseen by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). The ceremony acknowledges and celebrates the best cinematic talents and performances of the past year. This year, the awards turn 87 and are scheduled to be organized on 22nd this month.The Nominees Luncheon   The world of entertainment crouches up to the edges of their toes as the final list of nominees is announced a few weeks before the main ceremony. The star-studded, jolly gathering of Hollywood biggies conjures up butterflies-in-stomach for all those who are enamored by the American film industry. One can spot everyone here, from the heavy-weights of Hollywood and the buzzing paparazzi to the members of the press and of course, all the gorgrous food! Last year, the Luncheon was organized on March 2nd at the International Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton hotel. The big fat feasting took off with sesame seared tuna, grilled zucchini with sundried tomatoes, quinoa root vegetable salad as well rice cake with stir fried vegetables.     One of the things at the last year's lunch that grabbed most eyeballs, other than the hot celebs of course, were these cute strawberry desserts!   This year, the list of nominees was revealed on 2nd February at the Beverly Hilton. While the glitzy celebs were the star attraction for the shutter bugs, its exquisite menu was what got the stars talking.
