No matter wherever we are in the world, the quickest way to gravitate towards one's culture is through food. We have seen the gastronomic landscape of the country evolve and shift with such rapidness that we might sometimes feel out-of-touch of our own authentic Indian cuisine. And on days like this, you can trust Nam's kitchen to bring you right back to the rustic and raw gems of Indian cuisines with a touch of modernity. Nam's Kitchen started out as the dream concept by passionate home chef turned women restaurateur Namita. Located in Gurgaon, Nam's kitchen delivers sumptuous central Indian food right at your doorsteps!

Namita's personal journey with food beautifully seeps into the carefully curated menu and gives us a peek into regional cuisines from Bihar, Jharkhand, Lucknow and Delhi. Hints of Awadhi flavours linger throughout the spread while common Indian favourites like kulcha, kebabs, kachoris and chicken curries make it a hit for the wider audience.

For appetisers, we sampled the dal ke kebab and murg dry fry. Both the dishes were created to perfection, as juicy and moist on the inside as they should be crunchy on the outside. Paired with some green chutney, the kebabs are not to be missed!

For the main course, litti chokha was our top vegetarian pick, we also tried Bihari chicken curry and jeera rice, because, why not? Given her close contact with the Bihari cuisines, Namita does justice to both the dishes and has created them with utmost dedication. Although the masaledaar Bihari chicken curry was a feast for our senses, nothing beats the combo of ghee-laden littis and delicious and comforting chokha. The rice too was fluffy and cooked to perfection.

And, for the perfect end to this perfect meal, we chose the beloved north Indian sweet, phirni. Creamy, soothing and with just the perfect ratio of sweetness, Nam's phirni definitely made us want to be one of her loyal customers.
