The much-awaited final of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 saw a face-off between India and Australia. The home team's defeat is being mourned by lakhs of fans across the country. Social media has been filled with heartwarming messages for Team India, voicing reassurance and appreciation despite the loss. Recently, the popular dairy brand Amul also expressed its support for the Indian cricket team. Wondering how? Through a creative topical, of course! Find out more about it below.

In the illustration, we see a player dressed in the Indian team jersey seated next to the Amul girl. He wears an expression of sadness and disappointment. Our guess is he represents the captain, Rohit Sharma. The Amul girl has her hand on his arm as a gesture of encouragement. "Don't be blue, men in blue," reads the text near the top of the creative. Amul does not fail to introduce some sombre wordplay. "Amul. Taste In Yellow," are the words written near the bottom. The colour seems to be a reference to the brand's butter as well as the Australian cricket team (who wear a yellow jersey). The caption states, "#Amul Topical: Kudos to our Indian cricket team for their WC achievements!" Take a look at the creative below:

Before this, Amul had shared a celebratory topical to mark the occasion of Virat Kohli's 50th ODI century. The text on topical read, "VI'R AT THE TOP!" It was also a reference to Team India's victory over New Zealand in the semi-finals - and its unbroken record at the World Cup 2023 (until that point). Read the full story here.
