'Indians are Slowly Inclining Towards Wine'
Wine is gaining popularity in India, even though the country is still a major consumer of whisky and rum.

1. What do you have to say about the wine culture in India?
The culture is growing quite fast thanks to the many Italian and French restaurants in the country and their great wine selection. Also, wine events are becoming very popular and are witnessing a great response from Indians who are slowly changing their tastes and are inclining towards wine.
2. What is the correct way to consume wine?
Wine-making is an art and thus it should be carefully and properly consumed. Wine drinking should follow precise steps, which are called the 4S -- see, smell, sip and swallow. It involves all our five senses (touch the glass, see the wine and its colour, smell, taste and even hearing when we clink the glasses...cheers!).

3. Which is the wine preferred by women?Red and rose are preferred by women because of the fruity and intense character of these wines. Pinot Noir and Merlot being quite smooth, delicate and silky are appreciated. Shiraz also ranks among their favourite because of the spicy character. Moreover, a
moderate consumption of red wine is healthy, being heart-friendly, and contains many antioxidant properties (one glass of red wine has an equivalent amount of antioxidants as contained in 20 glasses of apple juice). In Picture/ Giorgia Nanut Brand Manager, Brindco Sales Limited
