We recently visited Smoke House Deli's outlet in DLF Promenade Mall, Vasant Kunj New Delhi. The restaurant has gone to great lengths to ensure that all the sanitation and hygiene practices are properly in place. The staff is warm and courteous, and well-versed with sanitisation practices which are a mandatory part of the dining experience in the post-COVID era.
Smoke House Deli is one of the few places which has an outdoor seating option to put the minds of diners at ease. The chic decor truly makes for an incredible backdrop to all the Instagram-worthy food pictures that you can take. In keeping with the mood of 2020, the menu at Smoke House Deli Vasant Kunj is one that would delight health-enthusiasts, without disappointing the tastes of avid diners either. For starters, we tried the Lemongrass Pesto Chicken Skewers along with Meditteranean dish - Lamb Kibbeh. The Grilled Prawn Sambal skewers, too, were out of this world and a must-try when visiting Smoke House Deli Vasant Kunj.
Smoke House Deli's unique selling point is that it incorporates a whole range of cuisines in its menu - right from European to Italian and to even American! Expert chef Shamshul Wahid at the restaurant delighted us with a Smoked Mushroom & Fennel Stroganoff. To top it off, there was the evergreen Peri Peri Chicken which had a citrusy zing to it, and the Chilli Crusted Cobbler which had an interesting spin of turmeric in it.
No meal is complete without the desserts, for which we could choose from a number of diverse options. We tried the heavenly Creme Brulee along with the Flourless Chocolate Fudge and both the preparations were impeccably crafted to satisfy the sweet tooth.
