1. Improves Hydration:  

Salt helps in water retention, so you won't be dehydrated during a strenuous exercise session.

2. Lowers Heart Rate:  

Since salt is credited for improving blood flow in the body, it would really help you to wade through your gym session. 

3. Prevents Muscle Cramps:  

Again, due to improved blood flow, there will be lesser chances of muscle cramps and joint pains during and after workouts.

4. Increases Power Output:  

Salt helps give easy access to the energy reserves in the body, which is required during a power-packed workout. 

5. Replaces Lost Electrolytes:  

The increase in water retention due to the consumption of salt helps the body replace its lost electrolytes.
