It is the season of celebrations for Ankita Lokhande, who tied the knot with her long-time beau, Vicky Jain, on December 14. After a week of fun-filled wedding festivities, the actress ushered in her 37th birthday on Sunday 19th December with great fanfare. If you have been following Ankita on social media, you must surely be aware of the importance of cakes in her life, be it any big or small occasion. Given that it was her first birthday as Mrs. Jain, she cut not one but three cakes as part of the midnight celebrations with her friends and Vicky, of course.
Of the three, she seemed most excited about a round, pink Pinata cake embellished with chocolate frosting and pink sprinkles. In one of the many videos that she shared on Instagram Stories, we see Ankita hammering the cake with childlike enthusiasm.
Her friends sing “Happy Birthday” for her, some of them referring to her as “Mrs. Jain”, which is also written on the cake board. Then they holler “Break it, break it”, as she proceeds to demolish the Pinata shell. She appears mighty pleased with herself as she makes a dent on the top with a ribbon-decorated hammer. Vicky is seen excitedly clapping by her side. What's more, the newlyweds twinned in black.
For the unversed, Pinata is originally a Spanish word, roughly translating to “pot”. Usually, the container is made of papier-mache, pottery, or cloth, which is decorated, filled with candy, and then broken as part of a celebration.

Last month, before her wedding, Ankita Lokhande and her friends had gathered for her bachelorette party. Even then, Ankita celebrated the occasion with a huge cake that had floral detailing on the sides and a silhouette of a sitting girl on top of it. On the cake was also written, ‘Bride to be'.
