On her birthday eve this year Twitter was presented with the first look from Anushka's upcoming project Bhaagamathie. UV Creations shared Anushka's intense look from the movie in a tweet on 7th November.
Anushka started her career with Puri Jagannath's Telugu film 'Super' starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and Ayesha Takia. There has been no looking back ever since as Anushka went on to deliver critically acclaimed performances in movies like Rudramadevi, Mirchi, Billa, Arundhati, Vedam, Singham, Vaanam, and Size Zero.
Anushka Shetty is known for her experimental nature and courage to take risks to play diverse cinematic roles. For her role in Prakash Kovelamudi's Size Zero, Anushka gained up to 20kgs. The Billa actress decided to go ahead with a weight gain diet and refused to wear a fat-suit for the movie. In one of her interviews she noted how the story had an instant connect with her and she decided to go ahead with the role. She also noted how people are so concerned about their weight that they forget that a person's personality matters over and above his/her looks or weight.

Although, Anushka bulked up for Size Zero, she had a healthy approach of doing it. Instead of loading up on sweets or junk and fat laden foods, she continued with her ghar ka khana but in greater quantity. She was always mindful of the fact that all the chub was supposed to be shed later, therefore the weight gain should not harm her body in any possible way. Anushka is a certified yoga teacher and practiced yoga before entering the film industry. She is known to practice yoga in her daily routine along with light exercises, every day for 30 minutes.
Anushka's love for playing varied roles also paves the way for her to push her fitness limit as well. While she gained weight to play Soundarya in Inji Iduppazhagi (Size Zero), she underwent rigorous training and a strict diet and fitness routine for her roles in movies like Rudramadevi and Baahubali the Conclusion. Not only did she say yes to a stringent diet and exercise plan but didn't shy away from learning horse-riding, archery, sword fighting and a host of other skills. Anushka shocked the world when she by donned a sultry look in Prabhas starer Billa.
Undeniably, Ms. Shetty is a versatile actor who knows no limits when it comes to exploring varied cinematic opportunities. She is one of the few artists who doesn't like to preach the concept of fitness, but practice it subtly and educate people about it. Anushka Shetty is known to be a lover of traditional South Indian delicacies and practices moderation when it comes to gastronomic indulgences. She credits yoga as something that changed her life completely.
We hope the Baahubali actress continues to inspire and entertain us in the years to come!
