Be it the breathtaking sword fights or spectacular war scenes or the enormous stunts, the audience loved him through and through and therefore expectations were high from the second part. And by the looks of Baahubali 2, he seems to have nailed it.

Prabhas garnered as many accolades for his build as he did for his excellent portrayal of the character of Amarendra Baahubali. And quite deservingly so, as the journey to build his body wasn’t an easy ride for the actor either. Did you know Prabhas apparently consumed 40 egg whites daily as part of his breakfast to bulk up for the role? Here’s a peep into the Telugu superstar’s fitness regime and diet -

The actor has mixed his love for nature and fitness and has been practicing outdoor fitness for quite some time now. His regime also consists of a lot of outdoor activities like cycling and running. Prabhas loves indulging in outdoor sports such as playing volleyball with his friends, whenever he gets some free time off his hand. Unlike many of his Telugu and Bollywood counterparts, Prabhas didn’t call a foreign trainer to train him for the part, but worked out with his local trainer. Prabhas also visited the US where he interacted with the wrestlers of WWE to understand their extensive training regimen. The actor studied their workout sessions, imbibing their mindset and body language to build body. And you thought sweating out in the gym was all that was required to build those bulging biceps?

After returning from the U.S, Prabhas was so impressed with the infrastructure that he got the equipment, costing INR 1.5 crore, shipped to his home, where he built a personal gym imitating the set-up of the WWE wrestlers.

The Baahubali actor works out for 6 hours daily, and starts training early in the morning. His regime starts with about one and a half hours of cardio. His focus lies on muscle building, which takes the key emphasis all through his various fitness techniques. In the evenings, for strengthening his body muscles, he lifts weight for about one and a half hours.
