We are all aware of how bland and unappetizing the food served in flights can be. The kind of food served at 30,000 feet above the sky is quite questionable and in most cases we are left to chow down whatever is served to us be it instant noodles, rubbery meat or soggy sandwiches. It is definitely not an easy task to prepare and serve tasty in an environment so different. All meals must be cooked on the ground because of food safety standards. But whatever may be the reason we can never consider eating flight food if we were not travelling and that notion is about to change with an exciting new menu launched by Jet Airways international. Now, imagine travelling far away from home and enjoying familiar traditional comfort food that keeps you company till your next destination. This is exactly what Jet Airways has in mind. The airlines has recently launched a new and refreshed in-flight menu comprising some of Kerala's popular dishes on international flights from Kochi, Kozhikode, and Thiruvananthapuram connecting key destinations such as Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Dubai, Doha, Muscat and Sharjah in the Gulf. The palette pleasing menu will offer a range of delicacies the likes of Tomato onion sambar, Kathirikka Koottu, Avial, Chicken Thengapal Curry, Varatharacha Kozi Curry, Pan-fried Chicken Piccata, Talacherry Chicken Biryani and Malabar Chicken Biryani.People travelling abroad can enjoy the taste and warm aroma of homely food during their journey away from home. It is a far cry from what we would have imagined in flight food to be. It is an experience that can transform a simple in-flight meal into a journey down the memory lane. This initiative definitely makes flying special.
