"The hotel is commemorating the Holy month with the best food and beverage offerings from their Signature Infinity by Angaar restaurant every Sunday i.e.10th July, 17th July, 24th July and 31st July," an official release reads. We decided to try out the Eid-special brunch menu and visited JW Marriot, Kolkata on a fine Sunday. Let's start with what the menu comprised.

We started our meal with some tikkas and kebabs from the spread. We must say, those were fresh, juicy, succulent and had the spice level on point. Next were the comforting chicken shorba and dal-e-angaar - both the dishes were rustic, earthy and tugged at heart strings.
Then we went on to try some vegetarian delicacies that included paneer seekh - the ultimate delicacy for every vegetarian, and mushroom galouti kebab - the perfect veg version of the classic galouti kebabs, where mushrooms are pan seared with spices, saffron and more and grilled to perfection.
Oh, how can we forget the mutton biryani?! The must-have dish in every Eid spread, this mutton biryani was made Kolkata-style with juicy mutton and well-cooked potatoes in it. All we can say - the ones who enjoy spicy biryani, then this dish is surely a dream-come-true! Alongside, we tried lal maas raan-e-dum) with steamed rice and directly moved on to the dessert section.
In one word, the dessert section at JW Marriot, Kolkata is like a dream land. Besides the July-special desserts, you will get an extensive range of cakes, pastries, waffles and Indian mithais here, And trust us, we indulged in each of these sweet treats to the fullest. Alongside, there were fresh juices, crafted beer, cocktails and mocktails served alongside the meal.
