We may love to gorge on junk food from outside but that's temporary. Something which is constant in our menu is “Ghar ka khana.” Homemade food can never disappoint. And, actress Kirti Kulhari agrees to this. She herself expressed it through a social media post. Her latest Instagram Stories features a delightful homemade treat. She had a great day having the basic yet so scrumptious platter at home. It is a plate full of wholesome tur dal poured on white rice. She is also relishing a good amount of Bhindi ki sabji. To enhance the taste, she has kept mango pickle on the side. Seems like Kirti is eating to her heart's content today. She captioned the image with words, “And some home food” with a heart emoticon.

Kriti Kulhari rarely posts about food but when she does, it surely has a message or an idea to learn something from. Some time ago, she shared pictures of a healthy breakfast. What's on the plate? Mango and banana smoothie, and masala omelette along with ketchup.
Nevertheless, Kriti's Kulhari recent Instagram Stories show rice and dal as our best comfort home food. But do you know there are many other simple yet tasty delicacies that can be made at home? We have a few suggestions to help you out with this.
1) Dal Makhani
The distinct flavours of urad dal loaded with a bunch of spices give a lip-smacking flavour to the dish. You can have it with plain white rice. Add oodles of ghee to amplify your tastebuds.
If you are bored having the same types of vegetables every day, you don't have to go out for a change. You can make makhmali kofte using maida and khoya.
Potatoes are versatile and you can cook them in different ways. Try out dum aloo lukhnavi with fried potatoes stuffed with paneer. They are then put into a rich gravy to give a final touch to the delicacy.
