If there's one chef that no one can fail to recognize, it's Sanjeev Kapoor. He's been the face of many television shows and has grown to become a common household name due to his culinary contributions. People have his shows, his recipes and his personality. He has been one of the most famous televsion presenters of his times giving thousands of home cooks access to not only Indian recipes but food that belongs to various cuisines across the globe. And now finally for all his achievements and contributions, Sanjeev Kapoor's name has been included in Padma Shri Awardee's list for 2017. Well deserved, sir!From launching his own food channel to judging one of India's biggest cooking challenges, Sanjeev Kapoor is still doing what's he's best at and what he truly loves. The Padma Shri awards do no have a separate category for food  and chefs which is why Sanjeev Kapoor's name have been listed under the 'others' category. The only other chef to have received this award was Tarla Dalal.The Padma Award is one of the highest civilian honour awarded in three categories - Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. All the winners winners will be felicitated by the President of India Pranab Mukherjee at Rashtrapati Bhawan in a ceremony that will be held around March or April this year.
