Sabudana, also known as tapioca pearls or sago, is basically made of tapioca starch extracted from the roots of the cassava plant. Soak the sabudana overnight. Heat a pan and pour water, add the soaked sabudana. Cook the sabudana till it is mushy and liquidy. Season it with salt, lemon juice and pepper. You can also add food colouring at this stage if you want. Spread a plastic sheet, and pour a spoonful of the mushy mixture on the sheet; this should be about the size of the chips you desire. Make sure they don't touch each other. Let this sun dry for at least a day. Once the chips have taken their shape, deep fry them like you'd deep fry fryums.
