As shown in the video, you can start the process by chopping off the jackfruit into pieces. Put these chunks of the food item immersed into a bowl of salt and water. You need to then boil the jackfruit pieces in turmeric water. Prepare a coarse paste using ginger, garlic, green chillis and salt to taste. Fry the kathal until golden brown. Finally, take a handi and heat some oil. Put ginger-garlic paste, chopped onions, coriander powder, and red chilli powder and mix well. Add chunks of boiled jackfruit and stir well. Add garam masala for a fiery taste. Squeeze some lime and decorate the dish with coriander leaves.

Add ghee in a cooker, put cumin seeds, crushed chilli, ginger, and asafoetida. Spice it up with degi red chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder. Add tomatoes and mix well. Put chopped potatoes and pressure cook them after covering the lid. Wait for two to three whistles and remove the lid. Garnish it with coriander leaves and lemon juice.
