You go to any restaurant or dhaba and one of the first concerns in your mind is about hygiene. You have no choice but to trust them for following all protocols, especially in the post-pandemic world. But sometimes you may have to brace yourselves for shocking disappointments. In a video that has surfaced online, a man was allegedly found spitting on rotis while cooking them, while his partner helped him in kneading dough. The recent incident took place in West Delhi. Two men identified as Sabi Anwar and Ibrahim were arrested by Delhi Police. In the video, the one in the blue shirt is kneading the dough at a local hotel in west Delhi and the person dressed in the white shirt was spitting on the 'roti' (flatbread) just before putting them in the oven, the officials said on Thursday.

"After initiating the investigation, it was found that the video was from a local hotel named 'Chand' in the Khyala area. The two men have been identified as Sabi Anwar and Ibrahim, both natives of Kishanganj in Bihar. Ibrahim was spitting on the dough. "We have registered a case under relevant sections and arrested both the accused. We have also filed a case against the owner of the hotel named Aamir for running the eatery without permission," a senior police officer said.

This is not the first time such an incident has been reported. According to reports, a man in Meerut was found spitting on rotis while preparing them for a wedding function. Another disturbing video that went viral last week apparently featured a Ghaziabad man spitting on rotis right before putting them into a chulha.
