The Reserve Bank of India (RBI)  recently announced the withdrawal of Rs 2000 notes from circulation, allowing people to exchange or deposit them in their bank accounts by September 30, 2023. Although these notes will remain legal tender until September 30, the news has caused a frenzy on the internet. Memes flooded various platforms, but one meat shop cleverly used this announcement to boost its sales. A Twitter user shared a picture of a message displayed outside the shop, featuring colourful print-outs of the Rs 2000 notes. The message stated, "Give us Rs 2000 note and take goods of Rs 2100 from sardar, a pure meat shop, G.T.B Nagar." The tweet praised the shop owner's innovative advertising strategy, highlighting the smartness of Delhiites compared to the RBI. Take a look at the tweet and the image attached.

The post is going viral on the microblogging site and has amassed over a lakh views and numerous reactions. Impressed with the idea, one person commented that "business sense is all about seizing opportunities."

People have approved the “advertisement strategy” of the meat shop.

Before this, popular dairy brand Amul and food delivery platform Zomato had also shared hilarious posts regarding RBI's decision of withdrawing Rs. 2000 notes. Zomato, in its tweet, listed down the behaviour of kids, adults, and legends while ordering food from the app. They wrote, "kids: exchange Rs 2000 note at bank, adults: order cash on delivery and give Rs 2000 note, legends: never had Rs 2000 note.” Read the full story here.
