Have you ever had something so delicious at your favourite restaurant or cafe that you made up your mind to try recreating the same at home? Well, we've been there too. While sometimes you do a decent job, other times you regret entering the kitchen altogether. But more often than not you are left wondering as to why it doesn't taste quiet as same. Is it the ingredients, the method, quantity - what is it that the restaurants are doing differently? A post on Reddit called "Food that never tastes quite right when you make it at home starterpack" is going viral and it hard not to relate. The list of food that are impossible to imitate included nachos and salsa, blueberry smoothie, vanilla milkshake, doughnuts and sushi. The comments section is abuzz with people guessing and revealing the 'secrets', some are adding other foods to the list. In about nine hours, the post has garnered more than 49k upvotes.

"I've messed around with milkshakes during the pandemic and I've got it to a point where I can make them as good as anywhere I'd buy one from. It took some time to figure out though. The trick is just a small amount of milk, and to get the blender to the point where it creates an "ice cream vortex" in the blender to ensure that everything will be evenly liquified and blended with the milk. If you don't get that vortex, it's nowhere near as good. And I haven't perfected the art of getting the vortex on the first try every time. I usually have to stop the blender, tilt it a bit, then quickly pop it back on the base and start it up again like 5 or 6 times before I manage to get the ice cream vortex," read the top comment and we are genuinely impressed.
