Whether it is an ice cream dosa, oreo pakora or gulab jamun and ketchup, or instant noodles with chocolate spread - there is no dearth of the number of innovations people can concoct, but the results are always under a question mark. People have always turned down unconventional food pairings until recently when a Twitter user declared Masala Thums Up the “best Indian drink.” To our surprise, the Internet is backing this concoct, which has also triggered nostalgia for many.

A Twitter user, ‘GabbarSingh' shared an image of the drink served in a glass with some fizz on top. Upon a closer look, you will also be able to spot masala particles at the brim. “Probably the best Indian drink: A masala thums up,” he captioned the post. Take a look:

So far, the post has clocked over 1 lakh 89 thousand views. One person was of the opinion that jeera masala goes well with Thumbs Up, while another argued that kala namak suited well.

Many were reminded of their hometowns where they used to relish the masala cold drink. One of the users said, “I had the best Masala Thums Up in Allahabad.”

“Completely agree. Back in Kolkata it used to be our go to drink on Sundays during my childhood. Right outside the Victoria Memorial,” an individual reacted. 

“Go to Kanpur for best Masala cold drinks.., best beside Hallet Hospital/ GSVM medical college,” another user added.
