The video of the old lady cutting her own birthday cake was posted by the user u/esberat in the sub-Reddit r/MadeMeSmile. In the span of just one day, it has received over 129k upvotes and nearly 2.7 million views.
In the clip, we could see what seemed to be CCTV camera footage from a restaurant. The old lady was seated all alone and had ordered a huge chocolate cake that was placed in front of her by the waitress. The lady then took out two candles and put them on top of the cake, lighting them up. She then started to clap and sing the birthday song for herself. In a matter of seconds, everyone saw that she was celebrating her birthday all alone. They joined in her singing and even gave her birthday hugs! The old lady was absolutely delighted and couldn't stop smiling on her special day being made a little more joyful.
