Football fever is at an all-time high right now! Football fans are excited to watch the FIFA World Cup happening in Qatar, with some legendary players and teams battling it out for the coveted trophy. The 2022 football tournament has had a series of interesting firsts, for example, beer sales have been banned at the sporting arenas. But that hasn't stopped football fans from putting a foodie twist to the event! Renowned pastry chef Amaury Guichon took to Instagram to rejoice in the football fever with an amazing creation - a life-sized foosball table made entirely of chocolate. Take a look:
"Chocolate Foosball! Right on time for the World Cup," wrote Amaury Guichon in the caption of the post. The clip has gone viral on Instagram Reels, receiving over 16.2 million views and 1.1 million likes. For the unversed, foosball is also known as table football and is basically a miniature version of the real sport. Players are moved on the table with the help of metal rods to score goals and win points.
In the video, we saw pastry chef Amaury Guichon crafting a foosball table entirely from chocolate. He first started with the base of the table, building huge slabs of chocolate and then polishing and painting them with edible colours. Every step of the process was done with painstaking detail and it was absolutely amazing to believe that the foosball table was made entirely of chocolate!

Pastry chef Amaury Guichon left the internet seriously impressed with his skills. A number of them left their thoughts in the comments section. "At the beginning of the video I thought it was the base of a tank," wrote one user while another exclaimed, "Are you kidding me!?" A few others were thinking about how talented Guichon was and it was absolutely unbelievable. "The final reveal will be that he is, and has always been, made of chocolate," laughed one user.
