Name a staple kitchen ingredient better than ketchup and we will wait. The condiment can be paired with an array of dishes (read: French Fries, burgers, chicken nuggets, onion rings), enhancing the flavour of any item. But, who knew that ketchup would one day be used to test relationships? Yes, you read that right. As per a new TikTok trend, couples are evaluating their compatibility based on how efficiently their partners clean spilt ketchup from the kitchen counters. Now, a social media user gave a unique spin to the challenge by applying the culinary theory to his sister. Did she pass the test? Well, with flying colours. The video was shared by the brother on Instagram.

The clip shows him pouring ketchup on the kitchen counter in a circular pattern. The brother then poured a dot of the condiment at the centre. “All I want to do is see how you would clean up this ketchup spill on the counter,” he told his younger sister.
The sister was quick to spring to action. At first, she covered a chopping board with wax paper. Next, she gently slid the wrapped chopping board on the ketchup-smeared counter. Surprisingly, it led the ketchup to transfer onto the wax paper, minus any residue, and in the same pattern as was seen on the counter. What a cool hack! When the ketchup was completely wiped off, the sister cleaned the titbits with a separate cloth. The result? A squeaky clean counter.
