We love momos and there's no two ways about it. Soft, steamed dough with juicy meat/veg stuffing inside, momos offer a burst of flavours to our palate. Although the dish finds its roots in Kathmandu, Nepal, today it holds a constant position in the Indian food culture. So much so that you will find momo joints in every part of the country. That's not all. Many of us make momos at home too. It seems West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is on the same boat like us. We recently found her trying hands on making momos at an eatery in Darjeeling. You heard us.
West Bengal Chief Minister, who was recently on a three-day visit to Darjeeling, went to a small kitchen and prepared momos from the very scratch - from flattening the dough to stuffing and shaping the momos, she did it all. The video of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's cooking spree went viral on the internet in no time. Take a look:

She further took to Facebook to share multiple pictures of her making momos. She also penned her experience in the post. "Elated to share such special moments with my people. Darjeeling will always have my heart and I salute the hard-working people of our Hills who make every visit so memorable," she wrote. Take a look at the Facebook post.
Mamata Banerjee's cooking spree in Darjeeling didn't end with just momos. According to her Facebook page, Chief Minister Banerjee also spent time with the locals, explored local markets and prepared phuchkas and served the people. Check out the glimpses of her recent Darjeeling tour here:
