Indian street food has so many delicious offerings out there for foodies. Traverse the country and you'll find plenty of street-style delights that'll tingle your tastebuds. One popular dish that you can find practically everywhere in India is the humble Golgappa. Tangy and spicy Golgappa is known to have countless varieties, variations and even names as per the different states where it is served. However, one particular Golgappa dish made with a chowmein topping has raised eyebrows on the internet. Yes, this dish is real and it exists. Take a look at the bizarre creation here:

The video was shared on Instagram by radio jockey and vlogger Rohan, who goes by the handle @radiokarohan. "Chef Kandi Chowmein Golgappa," read the caption to the post which was said to be from Lucknow. The entire making of the Golgappa was shared on Reels where it has received over 56.5k views and 2.2k likes.
First, the Golgappa vendor prepares the dish in the usual style - filing it with chopped aloo and imly chutney. Then, comes the bizarre twist wherein a layer of chowmein is added on top of the Golgappa. The weird chowmein Golgappa is then topped with more imly chutney, curd, candied fruit, grated coconut and chopped coriander. That wasn't all - the Golgappe were served with two spicy chutneys alongside.
While chowmein and Golgappa both are popular dishes in India, this fusion recipe combining them both did not go down well with internet users. Several questioned why the dish was created in the first place.
