Ingredients of Chaman Methi Malai

  • 50 gms kaju
  • 50 gms magaj (muskmelon seeds)
  • 2 Onion
  • 5 Green chilli
  • 10 gms ginger
  • 10 gms garlic
  • 2 tsp kasuri methi dry
  • 100 ml cream
  • 200 gms paneer
  • 30 gms butter
  • to taste salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • A pinch of turmeric
  • A pinch of green elaichi powder
  • A pinch of white pepper powder

How to Make Chaman Methi Malai

1.
Take a handi, boil kaju, magaj and chopped onion for 10-15 minutes. After boiling make a paste of it and strain it.

Take a pan, add butter to it, add ginger garlic paste, sauté for few mins until aroma. Then add dry kasuri methi leaves, saute it for a minute, add chopped green chilli, now add the kaju magaj paste. Cook it for another 10-15 minutes.

Now add water or milk as per the choice.

Now add seasoning (salt, sugar, white pepper, elaichi and turmeric), cook it for another 1-2 minutes.

Now add paneer cubes and cream.
6.
Garnish it with green chilli julienes and ginger julienes.
7.
Serve hot with butter naan.
