Curd rice is a staple dish for lunch or dinner in South Indian households. All you need is steamed rice, curd and a tempering of urad dal, mustard seeds, chillies and coriander leaves to make this fulfilling meal.

Ingredients of Curd Rice
- 1 Cup Rice
- 3 cups Water
- 1 1/2 cup Curd
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 Carrot
- 1 Green Chilli
- 1 tsp Ginger
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 bunch Coriander leaves
- 2 tsp Oil
- 2 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1 tsp Chana dal
- 2 tsp Urad dal
- 2 bunch Curry leaves
- 2 Red chilli
- 1/2 tsp Hing
How to Make Curd Rice
1.
Add rice and water together, and pressure cook it.

Mix the pressure cooked rice a bit to make it soggy.
3.
Add curd and milk to it and mix well.
4.
Put carrot, green chilli, ginger, salt and coriander leaves. Stir the ingredients thoroughly.
5.
Now take a pan, heat and pour some oil in it.
6.
Add mustard seeds, chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves, red chilli and hing together to make a tadka.
7.
Saute them well.
8.
To serve, put the curd rice in a bowl and pour the tadka over it.
