About Dhaba-Style Chicken Recipe: For all the chicken lovers, here is a delicious chicken curry right from yout favourite dhaba! Chicken sauteed in onion tomato masala, flavoured with aromatic spices and served with your favourite Indian bread, dhaba-styled chicken is perfect to satiate your chicken curry cravings.

Ingredients of Dhaba-Style Chicken

  • 4 Chicken legs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp lemon
  • 2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 Onions
  • 2-3 pieces ginger
  • 8-9 pieces garlic
  • 7 Green chillies
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 2 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 Bay leaves
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 5 Black cardamoms
  • 8 Pepper corns
  • 4 Cloves
  • 4 Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tsp coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1 tsp ginger

How to Make Dhaba-Style Chicken

Marination:

1.
Take the chicken pieces in a bowl, add salt, lemon and ginger garlic paste.

Mix it all well and set aside for 30 minutes.

Now, take onion, garlic, ginger and green chillies and grind them together to make a paste.

Prepare the curry:

1.
Take oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, black cardamom, peppercorn and cloves.

Saute them together until golden brown and add the onion paste.
3.
Mix it with the ingredients and cover the pan to cook for a few minutes.
4.
After a while, add tomatoes to the mix along with turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and coriander powder.
5.
Mix well and add the chicken pieces to the mix and further saute it.
6.
Add some water to balance the consistency of the mix.
7.
Transfer the mix in to a pressure cooker and cook it for a while.
8.
After that add garam masala and coriander leaves in the cooker.

Prepare the tadka:

1.
Take a heated pan and put ghee, add ginger and green chillies to it.
2.
Let it cook and then add the tadka to the pressure cooker.
3.
Let it boil for a while and serve hot with garnishing of coriander leaves.

Recipe Notes

You can also add a bit of curd in the recipe if you wish to. It will enhance the taste.
