This one here is coming right from the that highway dhaba where we all stop during our road trips and gorge on delicious Chicken curry and Naan. Now you have that recipe right in your kitchen. Chicken sauteed in onion tomato masala and flavoured with aromatic spices and which is exactly what makes this dish so delicious.

Ingredients of Dhaba Style Chicken

  • 4 Pieces Chicken Legs
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp Lemon
  • 2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 Onions
  • 2-3 Pieces Ginger
  • 8-9 Pieces Garlic
  • 7 Green Chillies
  • 3 Tbsp Oil
  • 2 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 Bay Leaves
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 5 Black Cardamoms
  • 8 Pepper Corns
  • 4 Cloves
  • 4 Tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 2 tsp Coriander Leaves
  • 2 Tbsp Ghee
  • 1 tsp Ginger

How to Make Dhaba Style Chicken

  • For Marination:
  • 1.Take the chicken pieces in a bowl, add salt, lemon and ginger garlic paste.Dhaba Style Chicken
  • 2.Mix it all well and set aside for 30 minutes.Dhaba Style Chicken
  • 3.Now, take onion, garlic, ginger and green chillies and grind them together to make a paste.Dhaba Style Chicken
  • Prepare the Curry:
  • 1.Take oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaves, cinnamon sticks, black cardamom, peppercorn and cloves.Dhaba Style Chicken
  • 2.Saute them together until golden brown and add the onion paste.Dhaba Style Chicken
  • 3.Mix it with the ingredients and cover the pan to cook for a few minutes.Dhaba Style Chicken
  • 4.After a while, add tomatoes to the mix along with turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and coriander powder.Dhaba Style Chicken
  • 5.Mix well and add the chicken pieces to the mix and further saute it.Dhaba Style Chicken
  • 6.Add some water to balance the consistency of the mix.Dhaba Style Chicken
  • 7.Transfer the mix in to a pressure cooker and cook it for a while.Dhaba Style Chicken
  • 8.After that add garam masala and coriander leaves in the cooker.Dhaba Style Chicken
  • Prepare the Tadka:
  • 1.Take a heated pan and put ghee, add ginger and green chillies to it.Dhaba Style Chicken
  • 2.Let it cook and then add the tadka to the pressure cooker.Dhaba Style Chicken
  • 3.Let it boil for a while and serve hot with garnishing of coriander leaves.Dhaba Style Chicken
