Ratalu Puri is a popular snack from the state of Gujarat. It is made using purple yam and deep-fried until fluffy and golden brown. Serve it alongside chutney to enhance its taste.

Ingredients of Ratalu Puri
- 200 gms purple yum sliced
- 1 cup besan
- 1 tbsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 tbsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tbsp coriander powder
- 1 pinch asafoetida
- Salt, to taste
- Water, as required
- Oil, for frying
- 1 tbsp dry coriander seeds
- 1 tbsp black pepper
How to Make Ratalu Puri

Collect all the ingredients together and add some water to achieve a paste-like consistency. Crush the coriander and pepper coarsely.

Slice the yum. Dip it in besan and deep fry it.

Tip: This yum tends to get sticky when water is added. Quickly wash it and ensure it is completely dried before proceeding.
