The friendly staff guided us through the menu with great care, ensuring a delightful dining experience. The ambience, complete with music and decor, adds to the overall enjoyment.
However, the true test of any eatery lies in its food, and The Hawking St. passed with flying colours. Here's our take on the flavours we sampled.
Chicken Lo-Mein
A delightful Chinese-inspired dish featuring stir-fried noodles with tender chicken, crunchy vegetables, soy sauce, vinegar, and sesame oil. The well-cooked noodles were perfectly coated with a balanced and savoury sauce, making it a nod to the Chinese influence on Indian street food.
Mantu Momos Chaat (Chicken)
This fusion dish combined Afghan mantu with Indian chaat, resulting in steamed dumplings filled with minced chicken, topped with sour garlic yogurt and green chutney. The soft, aromatic momos complemented the tangy yogurt and minty chutney, creating a unique and delicious combination.

Fish Kabiraji
A Bengali classic featuring a deep-fried fish fillet encased in a fine, crunchy, and airy egg web. Served with pungent mustard sauce, this dish showcased the flavours that make Bengali cuisine renowned for its fish dishes.
Chicken Melagu Masala, Egg, Podi Masala
Representing South Indian cuisine, this spicy peppery chicken curry was paired with appam (rice flour pancakes), boiled egg, and podi masala (a dry spice mix). The flavorful chicken curry with its coconut-based gravy, accompanied by soft appam and zesty podi masala, exemplified the richness of South Indian flavours.
Chandni Chowk Moonglet
A fluffier version of moong dal chilla, adorned with cheese, onion, tomato, coriander, and green chutney. The moonglet's soft and fluffy texture, combined with the richness of cheese and freshness of toppings, paid homage to the famous street food of Chandni Chowk.
