How To Make Moong Dal Kebabs | Moong Dal Kebabs Recipe

These moong dal kebabs look like tikkis or cutlets, but are much softer in texture, that because of the ghee and curd used. It not only gives the kebab a creamy feel also uplifts the taste. To make these kebabs you would have first of all wash and drain the dal. Then, take a pan in which you are supposed to heat ghee and jeera until you hear the spluttering. Add dal and salt, and sautee it. Keep this dal-ghee mix aside and let it cool. Blend the dal in a blender or food processor, until you get a dough-like mix. Do not use water when mixing. Mix the salt, chilli powder, garam masala and garlic into the ground dal. Now, throw in yogurt to make a pliable dough. Divide this super soft dough into round balls, flatten them using your hands. Fry them in ghee, until crisp and brown. Fry both sides. Make sure you keep the flame low, and if you feel the dough will not sustain itself and will fragment, you can add some besan to give your kebabs a firm body.
