Gujarati-Style Aloo Cheela Sandwich: How To Make Stuffed Besan Pudla

To begin with the recipe, take a mixing bowl, add gram flour, turmeric powder, ajwain, salt and red chilli powder. Add water and mix it well. Make sure the batter is thick and smooth. Cover and let it rest for 10 mins.

Now, make potato stuffing. For this, heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, a pinch of hing, and let them splutter. Once done, add chopped ginger and green chillies. Saute for a few seconds. Add mashed potatoes and mix well. Then add garam masala and salt to taste. Mix again.

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, spread the besan batter and let it cook from both the sides. Once done, add the stuffing at one half of the cheela and cover it with the other half.

Serve it with mint chutney and your delicious breakfast is ready to be savoured.
