To begin with, boil water in a large bottomed pan, add soya beans, rice along with tomatoes and green chillies. Cook until the rice and beans are soft and mushy.

Heat oil/ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds and let them splutter. After it, add chopped onion and ginger-garlic paste, and sauté for a minute or two.
