Kerala to Have the Country's First Ever Spice Museum

To celebrate the variety of spices and its significance in Indian cooking, The Spices Board of India has proposed to set up the country's first spice museum in Kerala.According to reports, the museum will be located at Willingdon Island, Kochi with the aim to educate people about the history and growth of Indian spices. The Cochin Port Trust has already allotted the land to set up the museum.The museum will also showcase over 30 raw spices and culinary herbs and show how they are cultivated, processed, stored and quality assessed. There will be paintings, pictures, brochures and books.
