We love to visit our favourite food and beverage outlets from time to time. But what if in order to have your favourite meal you get fined? And, it would be worse if the fine is way more than your purchased food item. Right? A man named Bob Spink, 50, from the UK has had to go through such a situation and we can tell for sure that it wasn't at all pleasing. Mr Spink along with his girlfriend visited a McDonald's drive-thru outlet. And, when they were unable to find a parking space at the burger chain they chose to go to a parking area outside Starbucks. Well, that was a wrong turn.

According to a WalesOnline report, Mr Spink received a letter that issued him with a fine of £100 (Rs 9,500 approx) for using one of the parking bays outside the international coffee chain. Well, we must tell you that Mr Spink and his girlfriend were in the area for a “mere 16 minutes”.

The McDonald's meal purchased by Mr Spink was for just  £12 (Rs 1200 approx), the report added. Speaking to the news portal, he said, “We had only bought a £12 order from McDonald's and the car park was entirely full so we parked in Starbucks to eat as there was plenty of space. It just feels like legalised theft, I haven't done anything wrong legally.”

Well, it doesn't end here. As per the letter, the fine would be reduced to £60 if paid the fine within 14 days, the report added. And, to avoid the bigger charge, he paid the fine.

"I was baffled by it, we have just moved here and it's something you can't ignore as it only gets worse and increases the fee," he was quoted as saying.
