These two drinks have a very earthy flavour that tugs at all our heartstrings. Considering all these factors, we can easily state that chaas and lassi make a popular choice for all. While in South India, chaas is referred to as neer mor and sambaran, Bengalis refer to it as ghol. Likewise, in Gujarat buttermilk (chaas) sees a variation that is called komal.

Gujarati-Style Chaas (buttermilk) Recipe: How To Make Komal Drink:

To make this dish, we need yogurt, fresh coconut milk, green chillies, freshly chopped coriander, hing, jeera, curry leaves, oil, salt and sugar.

Now that you have the ingredients handy, first take dahi, coconut milk, green chilli, coriander and sugar in a mixing bowl, with some water to make the drink light and runny. Take a hand blender and whiz the mix well. And salt and mix well again.

Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan and add hing, jeera and curry leaves and let it splutter. Add the tadka to the drink and serve. But make sure, you strain the green chillies before serving.
