In many ways Lavelle Road's transformation from an upscale residential and office zone to one of the city's F&B hotspots reflects a wider trend that we've seen across multiple locations in the city. Lavelle Road's location in the heart of the CBD makes it a popular haunt for after-hours drinks with your co-workers and convenient for office lunches. This compact F&B zone is packed with multiple international dining experiences, from one of the city's premier craft breweries to high quality Asian restaurants. These are among the best restaurants on Lavelle Road:

Here Are 8 Of The Best Restaurants In Bengaluru's Lavelle Road
1. Biere Club:
it's been a little over a decade, Biere Club was one of the pioneers of Bengaluru's craft brewery wave. It's prime location (just across the road from UB City) certainly helped. The interiors are cosy yet stylish and inspired by European brew pubs. Spread over multiple levels in a stand-alone building, there's enough room for you to find your favourite corner. The beer menu is extensive with a smattering of small batch ales and wheat beers. The beer bites – from plank pizzas and mezze platters, complement the large selection of beers.
2. Fatty Bao:
The origins of one of India's best-known gastropubs go back to Indira Nagar, Bengaluru. Fatty Bao is the perfect mash up between a versatile Asian restaurant and a lounge bar. Asian cocktails, small plates – the baos are a house favourite, ramens and curries come to the fore in an extensive menu. Fatty Bao's Lavelle Road outpost is not just one of its newest but also one of the trendiest restaurants in town.
3. Sunnys:
Makes the connection with Old Bangalore when traffic was hardly a consideration while picking a restaurant. Sunnys was one of the first standalone restaurants in town that put the spotlight on European cuisine back in the 1990s. Set in a bungalow this pet-friendly restaurant enjoys a cult following for its al-fresco setting and service. From thin crust pizzas to scrumptious desserts (the chocolate mousse is a bestseller) and steaks, the culinary offering has stayed consistent over the years.
4. Kaze:
Means wind in Japanese. This is one of our favourite rooftop dining spots in the CBD with 360-degree city views and al-fresco seating areas where you can truly enjoy the city's balmy weather. The indoor seating areas are equally charming and also a perfect setting for a business lunch meeting. We dig the art deco elements and the mood lighting. The menu is dominated by Pan Asian signatures; there's room for exquisite sashimi and sushi platters and curries from across South East Asia.
5. Smokehouse Deli:
One of the best all-day options in the CBD. Perfect for an impromptu catch up with a long lost buddy or a work meeting. The interiors stay consistent with the Smokehouse template across India. The menu is exhaustive. Most regulars come back for their all-day breakfast and their fail-proof burgers (we're partial to their smoked chicken and oregano burger). The dessert menu is the perfect fix for your round the clock sweet cravings.

6. The Rice Bowl:
An old Bangalore institution of sorts. This is where many regulars come back for old school Chinese food where you don't need to wade through a menu when you place your order. The interiors are a throwback to uncomplicated dining experiences and family meals with time-tested favourites like sweet corn soup, drunken chicken wings and crispy chilli potatoes. The chop suey and triple Schezwan chow mein are equally popular.
7. Cantan:
We like the high-energy, cheerful vibe at Cantan. It's positioned as a Chinese bar house and a restaurant that puts the spotlight on regional Chinese specialties. The dim sums are one of their calling cards. The menu includes Hunan and Sichuan signatures to dishes from Shanghai's diverse culinary scene. The Shaokao (Chinese barbecue) options are among the highlights here.
8. Matsuri, The Chancery:
Located at The Chancery Hotel, this is one of the finest Japanese restaurants in the CBD. Their set lunches are a popular option for business meetings, you can also order some of their meal platters for lunch that typically include a rice set or a noodle set. The a la carte menu includes sashimi and sushi rolls.
