Acai comes from the acai berry grown on the acai palm tree, mainly found in South American rainforests. An un-sweetened puree of the acai berry sits at the base of the bowl, and it is topped with an array of chopped or whole fruits. As far as Athiya's acai bowl is concerned, it has freshly chopped strawberries, apples, bananas, and kiwi. One whole raspberry, a few drupelets of grapes and blackberries, along with a handful of walnuts and almonds. Yummy no?
