Parsis in every corner of the world celebrated their New Year—Navroz or Nowroz—on March 20. Now, Bollywood actor Boman Irani has treated his Instagram family to glimpses of Navroz celebration at his home. The veteran star, on Thursday, dropped a video of himself and his family offering prayer on the auspicious occasion of Navroz. The video also shows some lip-smacking dishes. Boman Irani begins the clip by showing himself in a mirror and then pans the camera towards multiple sweet treats kept as an offering or for the feast. The slew of dishes begins with what looks like a bowl full of rice and sugar kept next to a box of sweets. We also caught glimpses of different bowls of dry fruits including pistachios, raisins, figs and cashews. The feast also included a bowl of chewy candies, dates, a jar full of chocolates, wafers, walnuts, dry dates and naans. A big basket full of fruits was also kept under these food items. It included a few bananas, apples, tomatoes, papaya, two different grapes and a few oranges.

The text on the clip reads, “Every New Year, we offer thanks for essentials, sweetness and plenty, the clothes we wear.” The clip concluded with Boman Irani wishing all “Navroz Mubarak.” Sharing the clip, Boman Irani wrote, “Navroz Mubarak from all the members of the Irani family! May the festival of spring fill your homes with love, happiness, and prosperity.”
