Arpita Khan stepped into the food business with her restaurant, Mercii, which quickly became a popular place among Mumbai's food connoisseurs. Launched in 2025, the fine dining offers European inspired interiors and fabulous cuisines.
It is not just the look of the restaurant that has caught attention. Some dishes at the eatery come with surprisingly high price tags, with two dishes – Salt Crusted Red Snapper and Truffle Pasta on Wheel – being chef's specials.
The Truffle Pasta from Wheel is priced at a jaw dropping Rs 8500. The dish is prepared and served live with spaghetti, truffle sauce and original Parmesan wheel. But the biggest surprise comes with the Salt Crusted Red Snapper which costs a whopping Rs 10,000.
Leading the kitchen at Mercii is Deniss Koll. Arpita Khan had earlier shared that Chef Deniss was chosen by her business partners, Ketul and Gaurav Parikh.
In a conversation with Curly Tales, Salman Khan's sister revealed, “We met a lot of chefs and did tastings, too. But something or the other was not the way we would have liked it to be. Then, one of Ketul & Gaurav's friends, who is also a chef from a very famous restaurant in Dubai and who had worked with Deniss closely, suggested him.
“When he came to Mumbai and gave us a trial, we figured that his heart and culinary skills were in the right place and his cooking was great, too.”

Mercii's drinks menu also comes with high prices. The restaurant serves champagne brought in from France and the cost of some bottles can go up to Rs 1,88,550. White wine varieties are available for Rs 50,000 and above, while the costliest red wine is around Rs 1,40,000 per bottle.
The cocktails are much easier on the pocket as they are priced between Rs 900 and Rs 1200.
